GYTS loose tube stranded cable
Classification :
Keywords:
Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable
ingle-mode or multi-mode optical fibers are placed into loose tubes made of a high-modulus polyester material, with the tubes filled with a water-blocking compound. At the center of the cable core lies a metallic strength member; for certain fiber counts, this metallic strength member is further covered with an extruded layer of polyethylene (PE). The loose tubes (along with any necessary filler rods) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core, with the interstices within the core filled with a water-blocking compound. A corrugated steel tape, coated with plastic and chrome-plated on both sides (PSP), is applied longitudinally, followed by an extruded polyethylene outer sheath.
Features and Applications
Excellent crush resistance
A specially designed, compact cable structure that effectively prevents the retraction of the loose tubes
Suitable for duct and aerial installations
