GYTA loose tube stranded cable
Classification :
Keywords:
Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable
Single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers are placed into loose tubes made of high-modulus polyester material, with the tubes filled with a water-blocking compound. A metal strength member forms the center of the cable core; for certain fiber counts, this metal member requires an extruded polyethylene (PE) coating. The loose tubes (and filler rods) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core, with the interstices filled with water-blocking material. A polyethylene sheath is then extruded over a longitudinally applied aluminum-polyethylene laminate (APL) tape to complete the cable.
Features and Applications
Good mechanical properties and temperature characteristics
Specially designed tight-buffered cable structure effectively prevents buffer tube retraction
Suitable for duct and aerial installations
